It’s That Time Again

What if we told you that spring cleaning meant not only focusing on your living quarters, but your kitchenware and appliances as well? Having shiny appliances and pots and pans will increase the tidy look that we are trying to achieve. This is especially true if you have your pots and pans hanging above your stove or displayed anywhere about your kitchen.

Fortunately, we have an all-natural and earth-friendly mixture that you can make, using things you already have in your kitchen cupboard!

Green Tips and Tricks

This spring cleaning season is all about going green! If you have ever experienced the pain of a burnt frying pan, especially a newly purchased one, we have great news! We have a chemical-free solution that will cut your scrubbing time in half. Plus, it will ensure you get to keep your pans!

For this project, you will simply need 1 cup of white vinegar, 2 tablespoons of baking soda, and a scouring pad.

First, place the pan on your stovetop and fill the bottom of the pan with a thin layer of water. Next, add the vinegar and bring the pan to a boil. At this point, your pan should be looking cleaner already. Remove the pan from the heat and add the baking soda. At this point, expect some fizzling up of the mixture! Make sure you do this step above a sink for any spillage.

Next, empty the pan and scour it with your scouring tool.It is okay to add some dry baking soda for this step.

For any stubborn areas, add water to the baking soda (making a paste) and leave on the area for 30 minutes. Next, simply clean the pan as normal and ta-da! Your pan will be good as new.

Safe and Happy Spring Cleaning!

It is important to adopt all-natural remedies when dealing with kitchen or bathroom items. In this manner, we avoid having toxic and harsh chemicals in places we do not wish them to be!
